QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Sweetworks is a leading manufacturer of confectionary products. Our claim to fame in the Western New York area is our fund raising candy bars known as 'Niagara Chocolates'. We do much more than make candy bars. We have manufacturing facilities in Buffalo and Toronto, Ontario and employ approximately 500 employees. THAT'S A LOT OF CHOCOLATE!

Reporting to the Manager of Quality Assurance, applies knowledge and application of quality control standards, GMP's, and HACCP. This is a full time position. Flex hours are required and extended hours when necessary. This is a non-exempt position. 

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Associates Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Food Service or equivalent experience and education.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP
• PC experience with Word & Excel
• Excellent communications skills, written/oral
• Accuracy in producing technical reports
• Analytical skills
