POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you looking for an extraordinary opportunity?  At Kenexa, we operate under the rule that “Opportunity Exists Here, Find It” and on the 2x QA Wayne team we seem to find lots of opportunity.  We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to help us with all of our opportunities.  This person will have responsibility for manual testing, test case writing, defect verification and process implementation.  The foundation of what we do at Kenexa is Improve Lives, both those of our employees and the people who use our products, and the Quality Assurance Analyst is a key player in making that happen, so we are looking for someone with awesome people skills.  You have to come in strong on working with others, it’s key to our success.  The person who fills this position must have passion for their work and must have great initiative as they grow and mentor other team members into successful members of both the 2x team and Kenexa.  This person will be responsible for delivering high quality products, on time and must assist in advancing the overall 2x product suite in the marketplace. 

 The 2x QA Wayne Team moves at a very fast pace, as we have a lot of momentum.  So we are going to need someone who can not only keep up, but can help us to establish an even faster pace from time to time.  You’ll need to have strong problem solving skills and you’ll need to be a person who doesn’t always color inside the lines, as 2x is a relatively new suite of products, so we need some creative thinkers. 

 This position reports to a 2x Quality Assurance Manager, and the expectations are high.  We are looking for someone with a track record of success, which includes strong SDLC and toolset experience, someone who enjoys collaborating closely with team members, and understands the strengths and weaknesses that others bring, and can work with both to leave things better than they were found.  We are looking for WOW.  We require awesome.  The challenge is big, the opportunity is bigger.  The only question that remains is “are you the right person for this career?”

Responsibilities:

·         Test our software products (Java based applications, Oracle backend, Hosted Environment)

·         Write detailed test plans

·         Communication of Release Status and Risk reporting to Quality Assurance Manager

·         Timely delivery of high quality products

·         Estimate Level of Effort (LOE) for planned work

·         Defect Reporting

·         Daily Scrum Meetings

·         Direct interaction with hosting for environmental needs / issues

·         Direct interaction with release management for release planning / timing into QA owned environments

·         Write test scenarios / test scripts

·         Collaborate with team members

·         Problem solving.

Requirements:

·               Minimum of 5 years working within a team setting

·               Must have proven track record of excellent problem solving skills

·               Must have passion for quality

·               Must be interested in understanding the “why” of software.  Anyone can test a software application, we need someone who can solve complex problems and help to make our software better. 

·               Strong experience in test case writing

·               Must be detail oriented

·               Must have strong analytical skills

·               Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

·               Ability to solve complex problems in a testing environment

·               Must have experience in creating test plans

·               Must be a quick learner

·               Must possess ability to work in a fast paced environment and be willing to assist team members when extra help is required

·               Must think outside the box

·               Must be a team player, if we are going to work together every day, we should get along.
