Quality Assurance Analyst Sr

Description:
As a member of the Computing Support Services (CSS) team at Sandia National Laboratories, you will work with the Quality Management Team supporting the quality functions of the CSS organization. The focus of tasks is on analysis of CSS IT delivered services and the processes and functions required to deliver those services to our identified customers and users. Specifically, this individual is expected to team with others to:

- Develop a rich, comprehensive CSS metrics process
- Work in conjunction with our Quality Management Team to meet the needs of continual service improvement activities related to the CSS Quality Management System and the Integrated Laboratory Management System (ILMS)
- Align metrics with the Goals, Objectives, and Critical Success Factors of CSS as determined by CSS management.
- Automate routine reporting of standard metrics
- Recommend metrics baselines
- Establish a set of definitive, trusted data points for CSS-wide use
- Analyze the collected data for accuracy and use this analysis to bound the inferences based upon this data
- Set guidelines for metric analysis (are we collecting the right data, are we drawing the right conclusions)
- Prepare reports and documents, as required
- Promote a culture of informed decision making
- Assist in ongoing compliance activities for our ISO 9000 certification
- Utilize quality improvement methods, tools, and techniques to move the organization forward in metrics gathering and reporting maturity
- Become familiar with and assist in implementing other best practices for the business (such as ITIL, COBIT, etc.)
- Partner with others outside of CSS in the area of metrics analysis and reporting when approved by CSS
- Assist with process development, implementation, and monitoring along with continual improvement as assigned
- Experience interfacing with management related to metrics needs
- Provide the CSS Management updates on metrics as requested for management review and direction.
- Interface with the contract companies to provide direction as to areas of improvement or focus as the CSS business transforms and changes.

Qualifications:
Understanding of ITIL principles and foundations. Minimum of two years of experience in the generation, reporting and analysis of metrics in a large IT organization. Experience implementing a service business ISO9001:2000 or ITIL quality system. Proficiency in general computing knowledge and Microsoft Productivity Suite, specifically with Excel. Demonstrated ability to use statistical analysis methods appropriately. Excellent interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skills.
