A Quality Assurance Coordinator provides day-to-day support of System Application Products (SAP), Materials Resource Planning (MRPII), and Quality and Delivery (QAD)/Optiva data management systems and manages Quality Assurance document retention.
Localizes all empirical formulas and specifications in Optiva for new products and changes to existing products.
Verifies Optiva to QAD download and inputs required additional data into QAD.
Distributes specifications to appropriate plant personnel for formula and product structure set up in QAD.
Maintains database of all current formulas and specifications with version/revision numbers.
Communicates formula and product code specification changes to appropriate personnel.
Observes processes and works closely with plant personnel and Corporate R&D to develop and maintain detailed and accurate plant floor work instructions for formulas and product specifications.
Trains plant Quality Assurance, batch operators and filling operators on formula and specification requirements, processing, laboratory and evaluation procedures.
Works closely with plant Quality Assurance on the development of QA and production data collection documentation.
Verifies that process control and finished product specifications are adhered to, by regularly auditing forms, the respective data and on-floor processing procedures.
Establishes and maintains revision control process for all QA and production documentation.
Coordinates and assists with R&D test runs, including data collection during processing and sampling, for new product commercialization and product improvements.
Works closely with plant Quality Assurance to ensure that the appropriate testing is performed on samples taken and that required analysis of sample data is executed.
Coordinates plant directed operations experiments, including sample and data collection, and maintains database with implementation dates and details of experimental results and process changes made.
Communicates with plant Materials leadership and Corporate Procurement regarding supplier changes for ingredients and packaging material.
Communicates with plant engineering regarding process and equipment changes.
Coordinates experiments, as needed, including sample and data collection, and maintains database with implementation dates and details of changes made.
Ensures any/all special program requirements are met (e.g. KOSHER).
If applicable, meets with special program representatives (e.g. the Rabbinic representative) on a regular basis, conducts audits for program compliance and works close with RPC Corporate council.
Responds to Helplines per the Corporate Policy. Works with vendors and customers to ensure that a complete investigation can be done to determine the root cause of the issue. A Quality Assurance Coordinator must have the following:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science or related field.
Extensive computer experience including knowledge of QAD, SAP, Optiva, and MRPII
Strong language skills.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
