Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Duties

• Work as a QA engineer in Austin, TX in support of our internal web applications
• Interact on a daily basis with QA engineers and members of the development and management teams, but work most closely with designated development counterpart in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Write test cases and develop automation scripts  to support specific areas of test coverage assigned
• Track down issues found in testing and automation runs, working closely with Development, QA Leads and Product Owners for resolution
• Participate in all roles of Scrum/Agile software development process, including morning standup meetings, storytelling, execution TDD test cases, development of automation, push of code to live site and code maintenance
• Help QA team drive to goal of 70% automation

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of Software QA experience with a good understanding of QA methodology
• Ability to design test plans and execute test procedures for complex applications and performing all kinds of testing that includes functional, installation, acceptance, browser compatibility, load, stress and performance
• Robust experience with API testing
• Automation experience in Java or Web flow applications (TestComplete, Selenium etc.)
• Knowledge of SQL and UNIX
• Strong familiarity with Web technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment
