Fairly independent individual with two or more years of experience in Quality Assurance. Understands QA concepts and processes. Can work on complex projects with minimal assistance and direction.





  • Develop and execute test plans
  • Participate in all kinds of testing: functional, regression, load, etc.
  • Maintain documentation of test results
  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality
  • Program automated test suites using a variety of tools including scripting languages and/or third party automation tools.
  • Utilize load test tools to ensure scalability and performance of products being released, including programming load scenarios
  • Record issues into a defect-tracking system
  • Follow-up and close issues entered into the defect-tracking system
  • Escalate issues to a higher level where issue resolution is not achieved within a reasonable amount of time
  • Review product documentation (manuals/Getting Started Guides) for technical accuracy
  • Familiarize themselves with new products technology, Operating Systems, etc in order to maintain an awareness of technological advances
  • Demonstrate a good level understanding of QA Process, the software development life-cycle, and FalconStor products
  • Enhanced problem solving skills: ability to figure out defects more accurately and quickly.

The skills required for this position are:



  • Ability to quickly learn product functionality by reading product documentation and project documentation (i.e. DDS).
  • Basic programming techniques for use with automation tools
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Technical aptitude for new technology
  • Must be detail and results oriented
