Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Quality Assurance Engineer for integrated software-hardware imaging systems. The candidate will join a small but growing QA Team and participate in continuous quality assurance improvement efforts, including improvements in processes, procedures, standards, test strategies/approaches and organization of test data/test scripts. Day-to-day activities will involve a demanding schedule of hands-on manual and automated testing for a variety of imaging systems.

 

The candidate will be expected to handle all aspects of front and back-end testing for a project from start to finish. The position will involve analysis of requirements/design specifications; investigation of defects, creation and maintenance of high-level test plans/test cases; as well as specific manual and automated test scripts, configuration of test environments, extensive incremental integration testing and the execution of manual and automated test scripts for regression, installation and performance/stress testing. Automated testing will be leveraged as much as possible to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

 

The ideal candidate is a disciplined individual who performs productively in a fast-paced work environment, is well organized, communicates well, and effectively handles multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

 

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 2-3 years of industry experience in quality assurance and system testing of Windows-based software
  • Demonstrated experience in functional, regression, performance, installation, compatibility, end-to-end/system, and incremental integration testing
  • Moderate experience with programming/scripting languages as well as Windows networking and MS SQL Server
  • Ability to work efficiently and on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Function effectively as part of a team, while also working independently

 

Desired:

  • Experience testing peripheral devices
  • Experience testing graphics/imaging software
  • Photography background is advantageous
