Desired Skills/Experience:
1) Must Be Well Versed with Rational Functional Tester (from IBM), Rational Functional Tester (or Rational Robot) Training and Certification is preferred.
2) Experience testing Software (applications or systems utilities) with heavy networking and operating systems connectivity: must be familiar with networking protocols and testing networking protocol intensive applications (TCP/IP, SNMP, UDP or similar networking protocol knowledge and experience from a QA testing standpoint).
3) Experience acting as the 'Key-Go-To-Person" for all Rational Functional Tester based requests, issues and questions.
4) Experience developing and executing Test Plans, Test Cases, Test strategies, Test Scripts, Test Matrix and Conducting Manual and Automated testing of functionality, compatibility, reliability, usability, installation, security and related test methodologies for System, Functional, Structural, Integration, User Acceptance and Regression testing of application in Client-Server environments.
5) Major Plus: Experience working as a QA Engineer for Systems Utility Software: performance tuning, monitoring, scheduling, security, virtualization, backup/restore. (**Extensive Systems Utility SW Experience may be a substitute for the heavy Rational Functional Testing background**).
6) BS Degree Required, MS Degree is a plus, must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
