Quality Assurance Management

About the Job

QA Manager will work with plant management and will be responsible for quality control activities/systems at the plant/Lab. Works closely and effectively with the manufacturing managers and staff to assure the production of high quality products and to correct quality problems quickly and effectively.  Manages the plant GMP system to maintain plant operations are in compliance. Supervise the laboratory technicians in providing technical support to production and to assist the Operations Supervisors in resolving process problems and implementing process and production changes. Manage the quality functions of the plant to assure the maintaining and sustaining of quality goals in support of both company and ISO standards. Provide support and direction to allow for process and quality improvements to facilitate positive action plans. Responsible for assuring that products shipped from the plant have the correct quality and identity, are suitable for their intended uses, and meet all applicable regulatory requirements and assuring the quality of incoming raw materials and ingredients.  May assist as a technical liaison with both internal and external customers in the resolution of technical problems related to products, processes or applications. Exhibit technical competence to allow for both written and oral communications with customers, management, peers and associates. Responsible for quality control and culture development budgets.

Requirements

Position requires B.S. Degree in Chemistry, or similar educational background or equivalent plus 8 or more years of related work experience in a Lab Mgt/QA Mgt/technical position, and 5 years of supervisory experience.  Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and interact appropriately with external contacts, including customers and regulatory agencies.  Excellent people management skills; strong analytical and problem solving skills; effective planning, follow-up, and organizational skills.
