RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Responsible for the Quality Assurance / QA for all processed food products produced at this large food production facility.
* Oversee and manage all Company and Customer Quality specifications involving tomato products and formulations.

*  Assures that the plant effectively executes policies, procedures, and systems established by the Corporate Quality Assurance function in the areas of Quality and Food Safety (HACCP) Systems design and standards, customer interface (including approvals, specifications, audits, product evaluation and conformance protocols, and customer complaints and follow up), analytical and performance testing methodologies.

* Manage compliance with regulatory agencies and programs relative to USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP's, etc.

* Develop and implement product quality systems pertaining to the operation.

* Facilitate training, development, and implementation of quality improvement programs.

* Responsible for technical sales support interacting with sales and customers....,Very Important!

* Reports to the  VP-Quality Assurance

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelors Degree - Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related.

* 8+ years experience as QC / QA Manager / Director in the food processing industry - Tomato products desired - Aseptic Industrial Process, Canned Tomatoes, etc.

* Strong computer skills.

* Excellent communications skills and a team player.
