This is an exciting time to join Honeywell's Life Safety business!  Our business is growing and we need qualified candidates for Quality Assurance Manager role at our Dayton, Ohio, facility.

You will establish and maintain a detailed and effective quality management infrastructure that meets the needs of the business. As a top candidate, you will work with the quality team to identify short- and long-term quality goals for business.  There is considerable customer interface with this role.  Education and training of fellow HLS business leaders on quality processes and approaches will be important to the success of this position.  
 
You will be a person who can create a compelling culture for quality that has the Operations, Technology, Customer Care, Sourcing, and functional teams striving towards quality excellence every day.



Responsibilities include the following key aspects:


• Manage reactions to any customer quality concerns, including customer communication, customer quality performance tacking, containment, and corrective and preventive actions.

• Proactively support business growth through an uncompromising commitment to defining Quality in terms of Voice of the Customer.

• Act as a key ambassador to the client base on all matters relating to quality and reliability

• Manages the customer feedback process.

• Lead and manage shop floor deployment of quality policies, procedures, controls, practices, training, and auditing.

• Oversee all receiving and shipping inspection activities; maintain effective controls and conduct vendor surveys/audits.

• Ensure all metrics boards are current and applicable for quality measurements and initiatives.

• Ensure all operational objectives in the annual plan (AOP) are achieved.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support Six Sigma/Lean initiatives.

• Schedule and lead the quarterly Quality Executive Steering.
 
 



Basic Qualifications:
 
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.

- Minimum of 5 years as quality professional in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience with direct reports.




Additional Qualifications:
 
- ISO certified manufacturing experience.
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Proven track record of ability to utilize business metrics to drive quality goals.

- Known as an individual who embraces continuous improvement opportunities.

- Ability to apply Six Sigma/Lean tools and methodologies to improve processes.

- Demonstrates a sense of urgency to achieve goals.

- Excellent oral and written communications skills.

- Ability to foster relationships at all levels of organization, communicate at all levels.

- Knowledge or experience with mechanical and textile manufacturing is preferred.
- Effective user of PC software -- word processing, spread sheets.
