Quality Assurance Manager
About the Job
Automotive supplier for machined assemblies and components looking for Quality Assurance Manager candidates. Candidate must have proven track record with assertive hand-on approach required. Job responsibilities include:
-Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
-Directs the activities of the floor inspectors, incoming and outgoing operations, line inspection, part layout, first piece inspection, last piece inspection, quality control lab activities and coordinates measurement, inspection, and quality control techniques.
-Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and, with other personnel coordinates objectives with production procedures to maximize product quality and minimize costs.
-Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to ensuring product quality and reliability.
-Identifies, investigates, responds to, and tracks potential and actual customer and/or supplier complaints regarding product quality.
-Role in APQP and PPAP process.
-Establishes procedures, systems and ensures adherence for TS16949 and specific customer requirements.
-Root cause analysis, Corrective Actions.
-Manage staff of Floor Inspectors, Layout, TS16949. Strong - hands on leadership ability.
-Scrap analysis, reduction and communication.
