Summary:
A Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that a product or service meets specific requirements for his or her company and its customers. Quality Assurance Managers handle legal compliances, customer expectations and coordinate activities in order to meet quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the coordination/scheduling of Quality Technicians.
· Assures the quality of the product leaving the facilities/warehouses.
· Creates, develops, implements, monitors, and improves programs designed to monitor and communicate process deviations and assure the quality of the product.
· Oversees the pest control program.
· Chairs or participate in Q.A. Council/attends meetings.
· Procures sanitation, housekeeping and lab supplies.
· Interfaces with Sales Administration manager and Q.A. council in handling customer and consumer complaints.
· Interfaces with Customer QA departments.
· Responsible for Q.A. Micro program and interfaces with outside Labs.
· Conducts plant GMP inspections.
· Maintains HACCP plan. Member of HACCP team
· Creates, develops, implements, improves and files all QA inspection forms
Position Requirements
· BA or BS or equivalent work experience
· 5 years Experience as QA Management in the food industry preferred
· R & D a must
· Ability to speak in Spanish a plus
