Quality Manager

The Drake Company is a complete, integrated packaging and display firm comprised of four divisions that carry customer solutions from creative ideas and design to in-store delivery.
These groups include Drake Ideas, our creative design division; Drake Container, our original company and now our manufacturing division; Drake Pack, which offers clients contract packaging, fulfillment, kitting, assembly and logistics solutions worldwide; and Drake Display, specializing in unique point-of-purchase activation, retail display and signage solutions.
Objective:
The function of the Quality Manager is to coordinate all activities which are essential for meeting the quality standards of The Drake Company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality
· Administer the Drake Quality Process.
· Develop and oversee all plant quality programs.
· Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
· Identify relevant quality related training needs and deliver company-wide quality training programs.
· Review standards, policies and procedures to evaluate effectiveness of quality programs; Implement and monitor quality procedures.
· Develop, execute and analyze quality reporting measures.
· Resolve quality issues with suppliers, customers and company personnel; Resolve customer’s quality related issues; Supply corrective action reports to customers.
· Establish and lead internal and external quality process audits.
· Direct resolution to quality problems.
· Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.
· Interface with internal and external customers concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
· Supply quality performance reports to Senior Management.
· Maintain calibration of all testing equipment.
ISO
· Oversee daily and on-going activities associated to ISO programs.
· Perform in-house quarterly audits; update records and train as needed.
· Maintain records of work practices; update as needed.
· Implement work practices to maintain compliance with ISO standards.
Experience and Attributes Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in applied science or engineering field.
· 5 years previous experience in Quality Assurance.
· Experience in quality management systems and audits.
· Experience in project management.
· Excellent problem solving skills.
· Excellent organization and time management skills.
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements for quality, ISO and safety.
· Minimum 3 years experience in the corrugated industry.
· Strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically written, oral presentation, listening and facilitation skills.
· Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite.
