Quality Assurance Manager
About the Job
Family owned company is looking to add a Quality Assurance Manager to their growing organization. **Must have experience in the food industry, preferably baked goods.
Responsibilities are:
- Accountable for complete product quality and food quality processes (include but not limited to staffing, new hire, rotational training, budgets, regulations, and documentation accuracy)
- Ensure the appropriate training for all quality initiatives to include food safety, HACCP, and GMP's.
- Perform regular plant inspections in order to identify and correct product safety deficiencies.
- Coordinate and maintain HACCP Team Involvement.
- Review QA Procedures, standards, and policies to comply with AIB, FDA, FPA, Federal, State, and local agencies.
- Continually look for improvement methods, best practices, and elimination of wasteful practices within department.
- Strong working knowledge of AIB, FPA, Kosher, USDA, and FDA compliance.
Requirements are:
- Minimum of Associate degree and/or AIB Baking & Science correspondence course.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing and regulation inspection procedures are a must.
- Minimum of 3 years working in a food/bakery/dairy plant setting as a supervisor.
- Proven ability to train, and motivate personnel.
