Schafer Gear Works, Inc. an ISO 9001:2008 company is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to work in a world class machining environment.

Ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:

• 5 + years Quality Assurance experience, gear knowledge is a must.
• Experience in maintaining and improving ISO 9001:2008 quality programs.
• Familiar with PPAP, ISIR, Gage RR, capability studies, root cause analysis…etc.
• Working knowledge of metallurgy, including heat treat.
• Ability to perform hands on inspection of precision machined components.
• Good communication skills with customers, suppliers and employees.
• Ability to follow though the satisfactory disposition of non-conformances as required.
• Experience in ISO/TS 16949 system will be beneficial
• Education:  Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Quality related field, ASQC certificate.
