Title: Quality Assurance Manager - NOT a Tester
Location: Arlington, VA
Job Description:
The QA Manager leads process improvement for an information systems team using best practices from CMMI® and ITIL®. They also perform quality assurance functions such as mentoring and auditing team members against the standard processes.
Responsibilities:
• Lead cross-functional teams to define and implement processes from CMMI® and ITIL®.
• Manage the Process Asset Library.
• Lead the effort to improve processes.
• Provide training and mentoring for team members as they use the processes.
• Audit team members against the processes.
• Ensure that corrective actions are taken as needed.
• Collect, analyze, and report on process measures.
• Lead lessons learned sessions.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 5 years of experience with growing responsibility in QA
• Knowledge of CMMI® level 3 and ITIL® v3
• Process improvement experience
• Experience with metrics analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Conflict resolution skills
• Proven ability to be proactive with minimal supervision
• Secret clearance
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience implementing CMMI® level 3 or ITIL®
• Software development experience
Required Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline
Desired Education and Certifications:
• Master’s Degree in computer science or related discipline
• ITIL® v3 Foundations
• ASQ Quality Auditor
