A leading food manufacturing is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their successful team. S/He will direct the quality assurance role from the maintenance to the continuous improvement of quality systems within the plant.
The Quality Assurance Manager will:
Identify and implement all regulatory compliance activities required in a low-acid and acidified canned vegetable processing plant
Manage correspondence with AIB inspections and all state and federal regulatory agencies
Manage the auditing and maintenance of the lot tracking system for raw materials to finished materials
Develop and maintain pest elimination programs and waste disposal compliance
Verify laboratory and processing procedures through auditing and evaluation of the manufacturing processes and analytical data
Develop and implement preventative actions based on product and process failures in an effort to minimize regulatory and financial risks to the company
The Quality Assurance Manager will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, Biology, or similar field; Master’s degree preferred
5 to 7 years Quality Assurance experience in a management role within a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge and experience with canned fruit or vegetable processing
Familiarity with creating and administering a SQF certification
