Quality Assurance Specialist

Designs and manufactures architectural products used in public spaces around the world. From walls and elevator interiors to site furnishings and lighting, our line invites creativity and provides real-world solutions to the challenges our customers face every day.

General Purpose: Responsible for ensuring quality standards, including but not limited to, document management, training, preventive maintenance, equipment calibration/validation, auditing, and corrective and preventive actions are implemented and updated throughout the manufacturing processing

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Document Management

a. Write and update production procedures

b. Review the implementation and efficiency of production procedures

c. Maintain the electronic document management system

2. Training

a. Write and update training checklists

b. Identify training needs and organize classroom training presentations or hands on demonstrations as needed

c. Track employee training by maintaining the electronic training management system

3. Preventive Maintenance (PM)

a. Monitor the performance and documentation of machine PM

b. Identify machines lacking PM and establish procedures for them

4. Equipment Calibration / Validation

a. Identify equipment that needs to be calibrated

b. Arrange to have equipment sent out for calibration or perform in-house calibration

c. Validate new equipment

5. Auditing

a. Conduct audits for compliance to standard operating procedures

b. Document audit findings c. Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate corrective actions

6. Corrective and Preventive Actions

a. Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions

7. Other Duties as Assigned

a. Inventory management

Education and Experience

• Bachelor degree preferred

• Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Manager, Quality Engineer

• Product or industry specific experience • Experience with writing work instructions • Experience with approaches to training employees

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases

• Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA Key Competencies

• Attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
