Supervises receiving inspection of materials, in-process inspection, final inspection of finished goods, source inspection duties. Assists the Quality Assurance Manager with QA manual and procedure revisions, internal system audits, customer and internal corrective action requests and other quality documentation requirements.
Minimum of five years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
Must have Aerospace Inspection background in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100:2004 certifications in the aerospace and/or automotive industry.
Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, PSW, APQP, PPAP documentation and processes.
Must be able to read blue prints and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
Must be proficient with inspection measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and coordinate measurement machines.
Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action process.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft computer software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Duties will include:
Supervision of material and product inspections
Perform visual and dimensional verification for compliance with engineering requirements blueprints.
Perform quality process and product audits and compile reports.
Produce PPAPS and associated reports
Complete necessary paperwork; maintain records, data, logs, etc.
Issue nonconformance reports, Initiate corrective action requests and follow-up for closure of corrective actions
