The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Quality Assurance Supervisor / Quality Assurance Manager with a Microbiology background for a large Food & Beverage Manufacturing Facility located in MD.
Job Summary:
Leads team members in a High Involvement Work System to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, & customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business results. 3 years related experience.
Position Responsibilities:
Leader is creating and maintaining a high involvement work system which identifies, manages & executes continuous improvement activities. Acts as a primary resource to the line teams to help drive Performance Systems and world class results in the areas of Safety Quality, Cost, Customer Service and Engagement. Engages team members to initiate adjustments and improve systems, processes and procedures. Coaches team members in holding each other accountable, giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications and external interactions. Collaborate with cross functional teams to plan, implement and execute action that will assist in the engagement of all employees in the facility. Works closely with the Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to create an Autonomous Maintenance/Operator partnership. Remove obstacles for direct reports, including providing all necessary training that will assist the team to be self-directed. Frequently coaches Safety and leads implementation of safe work practices. Lead team in tracking and understanding of Key Performance Indicators, Gap Analysis, and Action Oriented activities. Lead and conduct process experiments as well as documenting and communicating key process learnings. Included is the need to understand fundamental cause and effect relationship. Actively reinforces key CPS concepts daily through coaching and auditing across the organization.
Position Qualifications:
A 4-Year BS/BA Degree.
3-7 years of Quality Supervisory experience from within a Food and/or Beverage Manufacturing Facility. Candidates also MUST HAVE a strong Microbiology background to be considered.
Knowledge of FDA or other regulated industry and documentation requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of food product development and processes.
Understanding of allergens.
Understanding of industry standards of Quality and Food Safety.
Effectively present information and be responsive to technical inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS:
