Required Skills

• 3+ years in software application testing
• Background/understanding of software development life cycle
• Experience testing Java based applications
• Experience testing Microsoft applications (mandatory)
• Experience testing web based applications (mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Actively engage development teams in the SDLC to ensure quality along the way – not just at the end of the development lifecycle
• Create test plans
• Create test scenarios based on understanding of systems in order to regression test, test new functionality and stress test conditions
• Create the functional decomposition of applications as part of feature testing and develop test coverage matrices to maximize testing efficiency. Use optimization techniques to minimize the number of test cases and time effort while maximizing test coverage.
• Organize and facilitate reviews, inspections, and walkthroughs of test plans
• Write test conditions and test scripts based upon specification documents and business user interactions
• Build out test repository and document all test cases
• Execute test cases and execution suites
• Track issues found during UAT and throughout QA lifecycle
• Facilitate UAT Process in coordination with our Business Analysts
• Document test progress and incident tracking
• Publish test results and build metrics
• Functional testing of applications
• Investigate potential defects and discussed them with developers and analysts
• Isolate root cause of defects and drive the resolution of important defects.
• Manage QA test tools

Qualifications / Experience

• Understanding of Systems Architecture
• Have a good understanding of the software development life cycle
• Good working knowledge of application integration and testing
• Track record of managing the UAT process
• Clear knowledge of QA Role in the Software Cycle
• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance Methodologies
• Experience with scripting tools and automated testing
