Title: Quality Control Analyst II - 2nd Shift

Position Summary:
This position will require performing microbiological testing and entering data. Analyst will be responsible for environmental monitoring sampling utilities and conducting testing according to established SOP's and cGMP's. This testing may include conductivity LAL bioburden TOC analysis and microbial identifications.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Data entry of analytical data
B. Sampling of WFI and purified water systems clean steam and compressed gases.
C. Environmental monitoring
D. Testing of water and product samples including conductivity bioburden endotoxin TOC and microbial ID’s
E. Maintain lab instrumentation according to maintenance schedules.
F. Read understand and follow SOP’s and comply with GMP’s.
G. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
Additional Job Functions:
A. Accurately perform testing maintain documentation and prepare reports in association with the performing of assays.
B. Maintain supply levels for performance of assigned duties.
C. Maintain accurate and updated lab notebooks and records.
D. Follow all safety regulations as indicated in the MedImmune Policies and Procedures and accepted lab practices.

Knowledge:

Limited supervision. No instructions needed on routine work and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments.
Consequence of Errors:
Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business material or equipment to resolve.

Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature requiring some explanation or interpretation.
