Quality Control Inspector

Our company is a large, established, high-tech machine and fabrication shop located in the Baltimore area.  We are searching for a Quality Control Inspector to perform a wide variety of QC functions in this vital aspect of our business.  The Quality Control Inspector will work with and report directly to the Quality Control Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Follow company quality standards equivalent to source inspections;


• Use all standard quality control and measuring tools and equipment;


• Program and operate CMM systems;


• Apply knowledge of mil specs and government procedures;


• Work independently in a fast-paced precision, custom machine shop environment;


• Ensure that all deadlines are met and that delivered products are error-free;


• Implement and suggest procedures and processes that will ensure the integrity and accuracy of our product.

Essential Qualifications:

• Five (5) plus years of CMM programming and operation;


• PCDMIS experience a definite plus;


• Strong background in GD&T;


• Vocational school or military equivalent training in quality control functions of machine shop functions;


• Familiar with all machine shop mill, lathe, welding, sheet metal and finishing operations;


• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications etc.;


• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English;


• Respond to common enquiries or complaints from sales department, quality control, customers, and suppliers.
