DIRECTV Home Services is currently seeking a skilled Quality Control technician to join its Nipomo team.
The Quality Control Technician will perform inspections on DIRECTV satellite installations. This position will inspect, complete necessary repairs and complete the required inspection reports on commercial and residential broadband products and services including digital cable, high-speed data and telephony.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
DIRECTV Home Services is currently seeking a skilled Quality Control technician to join its Nipomo team.
The Quality Control Technician will perform inspections on DIRECTV satellite installations. This position will inspect, complete necessary repairs and complete the required inspection reports on commercial and residential broadband products and services including digital cable, high-speed data and telephony.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for completing quality control inspection work orders.
- Ensures all installation work is done according to company quality standards.
- Inspect and perform necessary repairs.
- Facilitate field training for technicians on all DIRECTV installed products and services.
- Assist with on-site inspections and personal protective equipment (PPE) inspections of technicians.
- Assist in resolving assigned customer concerns and questions.
- Reports to Supervisor of Quality control.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift (75 lbs), climb 40 foot ladders, and stand for long periods of time.
- Experience in cable, satellite, electrical, telephone, home theater, home security installation, or residential wiring preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of prior customer service experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and prioritization.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must have a negative pre-employment drug test.
- Criminal and MVR backgrounds must meet company hiring criteria.
- Willing and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
