Quality Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality systems ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 and/or TS16949.  You will participate in the contract review process to translate customer requirements into formalized quality flow down documents such as control plans and enforce their implementation. In this role, the individual will champion Quality efforts as the representative on New Product Development teams. 

The ideal candidate will have 4 year technical degree, preferably as ME or IE, with 5+ years-previous experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.  The following certificates are desirable: Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor.  Knowledge of aerospace and automotive industry quality systems desired. Experience using DFMEA, PFMEA, gage R & R’s, failure and root cause analysis tools is necessary. Previous experience working with Defense related customers and contracts preferred.

You must be a pro-active problem-solver and a strong hands-on contributor, accessible and able to communicate across all levels, with proven ability to collaborate, facilitate meetings and training sessions and talent to influence and implement change. Proven ability to interface effectively with customers is also essential.
