About the Job
Martinrea, a leading Tier one automotive supplier, has an immediate need for a Quality Engineer to support the Springfield, TN Division.
Desired Work Experience:
- Minimum of three years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Tier one automotive stamping and robotic weld assembly experience;
- Experience working with Nissan and/or Volkswagen.
Educational Requirements:
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, TS16949, ISO14001 and Control Plans;
- Formal problem solving and analytical skills;
- Statistical aptitude;
- Computer and spreadsheet proficiency;
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provides engineering and technical support for current products and new product launches;
- Provides direction and leadership to CMM Technicians;
- Interfaces with customer quality representatives concerning quality problems and assures that effective corrective action is implemented;
- Interprets customer specifications and requirements;
- Applies and maintains quality operating system requirements and standards;
- Maintains good internal and external supplier quality levels;
- Serves as primary quality resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement;
- Designs and implements methods for process improvement, testing and inspection;
- Develops and analyzes quality metrics;
- Participates in internal and external quality audits.
