DESCRIPTION: This Company is a multi-plant supplier to the automotive industry. The company is stable and expanding. They are seeking a key team player in to be an important part of the Quality Assurance team. This is a hands-on role with emphasis on working /and leading Quality team. Current systems are TS16949 compliant. This position will work closely with production to monitor quality and support quality procedures. This position also works closely with customers and Engineering to resolve any Quality issues and communicate with the Manufacturing groups. This is a manufacturing operation that focuses on die casting, Stamping and machining operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility will be quality assurance activities to insure quality standards for this specific location. This position is highly involved with TS16949 systems and will have responsibility for assuring Plant Quality Systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality background and the expertise to gain the support and cooperation of others in an automotive supplier operation.
REQUIREMENTS: The Company requires a BS degree and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience. The company is seeking experience with die casting quality experience. Machining experience is very desirable and maybe considered in lieu of die cast experience The Company requires previous experience in an automotive manufacturing operation. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus. Qualified candidates will have a strong technical background in manufacturing and strong familiarity of automotive quality and productivity programs. Candidates must be self-motivated with very strong documented experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to gain the cooperation and confidence of others are required. The ability to think on your feet and rapidly adjust to changing priorities is necessary. Prior familiarity with automotive programs such as QS9000/ TS16949 is required.
DESIRED: Desirable attributes include advanced education and strong related automotive tier #1/ tier #2 experiences including familiarity with QS9000 and TS19649and familiarity of casting operations /cast parts and /or Machining experience.
