Quality Improvement Specialist - Long Term Care Pharmacy

The Quality Improvement Specialist functions as an on-site direct contact for our long term care clients.  The specialist will work on day-to-day problem solving and relationship development. The specialist is also responsible for proactively report of concerns and issues to departmental management and communication of issue resolution with assigned customers.


Responsibilities:
• Performs rotation within three to five long term care facilities weekly.  Communicates electronically the status of the facility weekly relating to Millennium Pharmacy Systems Inc. application, pharmacy services, IT services, customer service, and billing department directly reporting to VP of Customer Advocacy and involving notification of Millennium Pharmacy Systems Inc. management
• Communicates frequently with customers to report progress and/or status of issues and maintain positive customer relationship.
• Assists with presentation of Quarterly Management Reports
• Communicates effectively with team members and all departments.
• Identifies, assesses, and investigates problems on primary level and reports to direct report for problem resolution for problems above primary level.
• Maintains strong knowledge of Millennium Pharmacy Systems Inc.  products, policies and procedures and applies them consistently
• Responds to customer requests for information. 
• Maintains a positive, professional attitude with Millennium Pharmacy Systems Inc. employees and customers.
• Assists with quality improvement initiatives directed by Millennium Pharmacy Systems Inc. .


Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ to 5 Years Health Care Related Experience
• Intermediate computer skills required
• Experience in Long Term Care regulations preferred
• Experience in/knowledge of pharmaceutical/ healthcare technology industry
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to service our clients
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel to local facilities on a regular basis.
