This position oversees the Quality Management (QM) System and leads the TPM QM Pillar ensuring that the site Quality Management System meets regulatory requirements, effectively controls quality risks, and delivers continuous improvement in quality performance. This position also oversees the operational function of the site laboratory personnel

 

Position Responsibilities

1. Design, development, and maintenance of a comprehensive site QUALITY management system.

2. Leading of the site TPM QUALITY Pillar ensuring the application of TPM continuous improvement principles (RCA, Kiazens…) to the QUALITY area.

3. Maintenance of documentation related to QUALITY (C-Incident, Training, and GtM Quality, Quality Inspections) and FDA Compliance.

4. Coordination and oversight of the site’s QUALITY risk management process.

5. Coordination of all quality training.

6. Develop and tracking of site QUALITY improvement targets and activities.

7. Serving as a QUALITY change agent.

8. Executing the site QUALITY budget.

9. Effectively Interfacing with outside regulatory agencies, Corporate QUALITY personnel, Legal.

1. Creating an environment and organizational culture focused on continual improvement in QUALITY performance.

2. Developing a comprehensive site QUALITY management system that is owned by the entire site organization.

3. Establishing a QUALITY management system that actively involves all site personnel and establiQualityd accountability for QUALITY performance.

4. Promoting and advancing the site QUALITY agenda by strategically influencing all site functions.

5. Creating a passion for QUALITY excellence throughout the organization.

6. Diplomatic handling of sensitive QUALITY issues and the ability to establish and foster effective team work with key stakeholders at the plant (HR, the Management team, the employee population)

7. The incumbent must have the ability to effectively coach upward and downward and to demonstrate the cost benefit & potential consequences of decisions made.

8. Identifying and adopting leading QUALITY practices.

 

Scope

Primary role for plant compliance and continuous improvement in the above areas. Non-compliance represents significant financial loss and legal penalties to business leadership.

Budget Responsibility

IT Systems: SAP, Microsoft office platform. Access desirable

 

 

Requirements

• BS in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related science

• Working knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations desired

• 2-3 years QA/quality experience in foods or consumer goods manufacturing

• Previous supervisory experience welcome, but not required.

• Continuous improvement or 6 sigma experience beneficial.

• Demonstrated strong analytical & problem solving skills, and administrative accuracy are required. Strong

• MS computer platform skills are desired.

• Flexibility in managing multiple priorities is necessary.

• Effective interpersonal & leadership skills are required.

• This individual must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic understanding of QUALITY management principles is desired.
