The Quality Management department within the Anthem Medi-Cal program develops clinical programs to improve the quality of care and health outcomes for our members.
As a health plan receiving the NCQA Multicultural Health Plan Distinction award, Anthem strives to develop programs that that focuses on improving health disparities and the delivery of culturally competent care.

The intern will be a part of partnering with physicians, local governments and community-based groups, as Anthem's Quality Management department works to ensure members receive preventative care which includes immunizations, screenings and health education.

Intern responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Support Clinic Day events (Provide Education, Work towards being a Team Lead for event)
  • Member outreach
  • Project support for Quality Improvement projects
  • Administrative office support (faxing, member mailings)
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing an undergrad degree in nursing, public health, business, communications, psychology, or a related program of study
  • Ability to work 6+ months; full-time during school breaks and part-time when school is in session. Occasional weekend hours will be required.
Preferred, but not required:
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Experience in project coordination
  • Multi-lingual
