Summary:

Sleep Innovations is a leader in the design and production of memory foam sleep products - with a special emphasis on pillows, mattress toppers, and mattresses. In addition, OEM Operations creates memory foam accessories for consumer market, medical device market, and commercial market.

We are searching for a results driven, self starter and experienced Quality Manager with experience with a manufacturing background, Lean Manufacturing experience, and a proven leader.  Ideal candidate will be high energy, proficient in lean process and management, and lead by example. Candidate must have a take charge approach, a can do mind set, and thrive in a fast paced consumer product manufacturing environment.

This position is located in Coldwater, M.S. and will be report to the Plant Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for running the testing lab for the Coldwater facility.

·         Oversees testing products to meet with ASTM standards

·         Develop and implement internal corrective plans for failed tests.

·         Work as a liaison to the Product Development group for both samples and product roll outs.

·         Responsible for validating customer returns due to quality and approval of credit issued.

·         Create and publish weekly testing metrics and scrap reports for all of our foam pouring plants.

·         Responsible for managing all quality inspectors on all shifts

Requirements:

·         4 year degree required

·         At least 5 years in a manufacturing warehouse experience required, minimum of 3 in a managerial role.

·         Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred, proven lean manufacturing required

·         Working knowledge of JD Edwards strongly preferred.

·         Excellent written and communication skills

·         Strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

·         Proficient in MS Office applications

·         Must be familiar with ASTM standards
