Quality Manager

Multi-national maker of automotive parts seeks a Quality Manager for its manufacturing facility located in Duncan, SC.  General duties include the development, implementation and coordination of TQMS to meet and/or exceed certification requirements for TS-16949.

Other duties:

-Manages product quality program by implementation of quality standards to prevent and/or eliminate defects in new or existing products in the plant
-Manages and mentors the subordinate staff in order to maintain motivation, teamwork and continuous improvement
-Interfaces with customers with respect to Quality related issues
-Works closely with plant operations personnel discussing quality issues and facilitates recommended changes
 Reports quality related issues and fixes in a timely manner and makes recommendations for corrective actions

Qualifications / keywords include a bachelors degree in a technical field with at least 3 years of experience as a Quality Manager in a TS-16949 certified automotive parts manufacturing facility, to include demonstrated knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP).   ASQ Certified CQA,CQE or CQM are desirable but not required.  Experience in rubber, foam, or plastic (interior trim)  process operations highly desirable.
