Advanced Fabricating Technology (AFTECH), a $20mm wholly owned subsidiary of Total Plastics (TPI), originally founded in 1992, is a custom converter of plastics, foams and pressure sensitive tapes. We provide top quality products and services that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations and have developed a process, which allows us to cut plastic, up to .250” thick, on a high production basis.  The high-speed capability of Aftech’s unique process is a substantial advantage over machining, routing, sawing, or drilling. 

We are currently looking for a Quality Manager for our Rockford, Michigan facility. This position will manage total quality programs, policies, and initiatives and be responsible for identifying, analyzing and developing improvements in productivity, quality, client relationships, customer service and business systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Acting as a customer advocate to resolve quality concerns

·         Participate in APQP activity.

·         Oversee department quality initiatives.

·         Develop and maintain supplier relationships.

·         Monitor and report various quality metrix

·         Document procedures, work instructions, etc. and train staff as appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university.

·         Three to five years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Effective communication, problem solving, and organizational skills as well as the proven ability to achieve business results.

·         Valid driver’s license.
