My client is a 121-bed, nonprofit, acute-care, full-service, community and regional teaching hospital serving a region of 20-plus towns. With close to 200 physicians on their active medical staff and an additional 100 courtesy or consulting physicians, patients are assured of receiving high-quality care in multiple specialties.

Job Description:
Under the direction and in collaboration with the Director of PI/RM and in conjunction with medical and clinical staff to provide timely data management, technical and methodological design, database development and/maintenance, software program management and statistical analysis for internal and external projects which monitor the quality, cost and effectiveness of patient care delivery at the hospital.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Health Information or Sciences

Experience: Understanding of statistical process control; knowledge of quality improvement principles, relational databases, Meditech NPR report writer, clinical applications, XML and CSV or other structured document formats.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize activities/tasks.  Demonstrated ability to work independently, under multiple demands, with attention to detail.  Demonstrated commitment to service excellence.  Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. Use of medical terminology and understanding of anatomy and physiology.
