Quality and Safety Manager
Job Description
- Quality & Safety Managers is responsible for managing all safety and quality initiatives as outlined by 051-IA and the TL 9000 Quality standard for telecommunications, as well as current policies and procedures of the company.
- Candidate should develop or implement programs to reduce the frequency, severity and cost associated with occupational hazards.
- Apply quality, regulations, principles, theories, practices and procedures to advise on or resolve matters involving safety and quality.
- Develop and implement programs to ensure safe work environments for in accordance with OSI-IA requirements. This includes being responsible for overseeing their safety requirements, policies and procedures while integrating programs supporting these policies.
- Organize and lead in the development and coordination of the in-house quality processes and serve as the company's subject matter expert and single point of contact for all safety and quality initiatives, directives and customer responses.
- Lead other employees (and non employees when needed) on a variety of safety, health and quality initiatives that may affect Nsoro and their subcontractors
- Train others, in a structured learning environment, about quality and safety policies and practices.
Job Qualifications
- Related bachelor's degree (preferably in construction management.)
- Minimum five years experience with construction and safety management background (general contractor experience preferred.)
- Knowledge of OSI-IA regulatory environment and state OSHA organizations nationally.
- Knowledge of TL9000 business practices and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of industry y best practices as related to the telecommunications industry.
- Working knowledge of the field organization that delivers services to the customer.
- Must have previous site management experience as well as experience at maintaining a good working relationship with the client and supplier/vendor.
- Strong consultative, organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
- Have completed Process Based TL 9000 Auditing training.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, MS Project.
- Ability to perform occasional travel between company locations to conduct audits and training.
- Successful candidates will strong decision makers and have the interpersonal skills necessary to complete the job ensuring construction is completed accurately per clients specs, and in a timely manner.
