Quality Specialist
Promote quality excellence and execution in partnership with operations to improve overall quality, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Provide support to shift based teams with 24-hour coverage. This includes facilitating continuous improvement efforts by providing data interpretation and expertise to various operational areas and providing specialized analysis and inspections to monitor process quality. Serve as a resource/coach for established Quality Standards and Procedures, quality education, sanitation, and technical support to test existing equipment or new technologies.
Must be able to work in a team environment with both salaried and hourly employees providing a variety of support to both the individual and the team.
This position requires a BS in Science/Engineering with prior laboratory experience preferred. Three years prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desired. Strong analytical/problem solving skills are required as well as experience with SPC and TQM. Good computer skills and oral presentation skills are required. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices is required. Certification(s) in ASQ, CQE, CRE, Green Belt in Six Sigma, or a Black Belt in Six Sigma training is desired. Knowledge and experience with WCM processes/principles is a plus.
