About our Client:  Want to become part of one of the most famous and highly successful food producers in the world?  Our client is offering a position in one of their manufacturing facilities as their Quality Specialist.  The successful candidate will become part of a company that is large, growing, successful and provides opportunities for growth in the future.

Key Responsibilities: 

·         Lead the development and maintenance of the food safety program in a manufacturing facility.

·         Develop food safety training programs and facilitate employee training.

·         Create and maintain safe food process operating guides and manuals and lead the document review team.

·         Prepare for and participate in company and 3^rd party audits.

·         Develop and implement a Global Food Safety program such as SQF and lead the effort towards SQF plant certification.

·         Lead corrective and preventative action function to reduce and eliminate reoccurring food safety issues.

·         Provide Quality Control support to the manufacturing team.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or a closely related field.
  
• Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner Certification is highly desirable.  Thorough understanding of SQF and Global Food Safety Initiatives is required.
  
• Seven or more years experience in Food Safety and/or Quality Assurance in a food manufacturing environment is required.
  
• Auditing experience is required.  HACCP experience also required, certification is preferred.
