The Quality Supervisor 2nd Shift is responsible for driving key performance indicators of the business and providing direct quality support to the Quality Team.
Located at our Fresh Express facilities in Morrow, GA. the Quality Supervisor is responsible for one or more of the following key indicators:
- Serves as a key member of the sites QA management team.
- In support of both the site and the network either independently or as part of a team, develops and implements quality programs that meet or exceed internal company requirements and external customer requirements.
- Maintains focus on customer results.
- Communicates quality activities internally and externally including, achieving and recognizing technician participation.
- Conducts audits of facility for compliance to established QA & Food Safety Programs and reports opportunities for quality improvement.
- Actively engages at all levels of the organization to provide an on-going series of total quality improvement tools and training opportunities.
- Develops and implements key metrics for all technicians to drive sustainable quality processes.
- Areas of focus will include quality leadership, team-based problem solving, statistical analysis and process control techniques, reliability methodologies, cost of quality and continuous process improvement.
- Accountable for facility sanitation inspections, customer and regulatory audits/inspections.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have requisite leadership skills and experience to thoroughly develop/challenge the organization to achieve high performance
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to directly interface with the customer, across departmental plant operations, and National QA
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities to achieve desired safety, quality, financial and customer service goals
- Must be well versed in the latest Quality Assurance techniques and the ability to develop and implement tactical and strategic plans to drive quality improvement
- Must be a self-starter who can accomplish results in an ambiguous environment with minimal direction along with the ability to make decisions to drive business results.
- Must be able to work all shifts.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years QA experience in the manufacturing food industry preferably with a Company with high level of complexity, to include at least 1-2 years at a fully functioning supervisory level.
- Actively involved in training for all levels of the organization.
- Formal HACCP training with application experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Bilingual Spanish
- Project management experience
EDUCATION:
- BS in Food Science, Agricultural Business, Microbiology, Crop Science or closely related field
