Quantity Surveyor – We’re looking for someone who will act as a client representative in providing quantity surveying supporting construction activities both on-site and in the project office.

 

 

DESCRIPTION:

 

QUANTITY SURVEYOR to:

  • Provide quantity surveying support on the site and in the project office with focus on the construction activities.
  • Confirm planned quantities in the contractors project controls system reflect actual quantities from the engineering documents and that reported installed quantities reflect actual progress in the field.
  • Review estimates and construction plans and validate measurement of construction work.   
  • Validate bill of quantities, review construction estimates and help Owners Team manage the construction contract through monthly valuations, variations control, and assessment of changes/claims.
  • Help control construction costs by accurate measurement of the work required, the application of expert knowledge of costs and prices of work, labor, materials required, an understanding of the implications of decisions at an early stage to ensure that good value is obtained for the money to be expended

BACKGROUND:

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ Years Experience in Quantity Surveying preferably in major downstream projects.
  • Solid Quantity Surveying experience from construction activities at site.
  • Solid technical experience from downstream projects.
  • Experienced with Quantity Surveying computer systems and processes.
  • Experience with a major downstream operator will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and ability to support ad-hoc requests.
  • Good communication & presentation skills.
