Major Duties and Responsibilities (including supervising others):
Perform formulation development optimization product characterization and stability studies of protein therapeutics. Design and execute experiments to support preformulation formulation screening biophysical characterization studies container closure compatibility studies pre-filled syringe development studies lyophilization and fill-finish. Write protocols analyze data interpret results and prepare technical reports and summaries with minimal supervision. Present findings at internal meetings and/or contribute to the preparation of manuscripts. Function effectively as a member of one or more project teams.
Special Skills/Abilities: Experience with protein formulation development biophysical characterization techniques such as DSC fluorescence spectroscopy CD analytical techniques such as HPLC is preferred. Experience in sub-visible particle testing light scattering techniques pre-filled syringe development lyophilization fill/finish operations would be advantageous. Good communication skills strong interpersonal skills demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary fast paced environment are also an integral part of this position.
Job Complexity: Requires thorough understanding of protein formulation development and characterization principles
Supervision: Must demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum degree of supervision.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: M.S. or B.S. in Chemistry Biochemistry Pharmaceutics Chemical Engineering or related field
Experience: 2-5 years experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is desired.
