R & D Mechanical Engineer
for Design of Galvanometer Based
Electromechanical and Optomechanical Subsystems


Join a highly motivated and successful R & D Engineering team, developing a diverse array of scanning systems and components from concept to production readiness.



Job responsibilities include
:

  • Mechanical, optical, magnetic, thermal and modal analysis and design of high performance closed loop galvanometer motors, mirrors, and scanning systems.
  • Subsystem level assembly design.
  • Research materials/processes to advance the present system performance limits
  • Component Detail Drawings, Assembly Drawings and BOMs
  • Prototype build and Verification/Validation Testing

 


Required Background and Skills
:

  • Minimum BSME or equivalent technical background/experience.
  • Experience with a 3D modeling package, Solidworks preferred
  • FEA experience, Ansys preferred  
  • Experience designing motors or other rotary precision mechanisms a plus
  • Experience designing magnetic circuits and/or using magnetic modeling programs a plus
