R & D Mechanical Engineer
for Design of Galvanometer Based
Electromechanical and Optomechanical Subsystems
Join a highly motivated and successful R & D Engineering team, developing a diverse array of scanning systems and components from concept to production readiness.
Job responsibilities include:
- Mechanical, optical, magnetic, thermal and modal analysis and design of high performance closed loop galvanometer motors, mirrors, and scanning systems.
- Subsystem level assembly design.
- Research materials/processes to advance the present system performance limits
- Component Detail Drawings, Assembly Drawings and BOMs
- Prototype build and Verification/Validation Testing
Required Background and Skills:
- Minimum BSME or equivalent technical background/experience.
- Experience with a 3D modeling package, Solidworks preferred
- FEA experience, Ansys preferred
- Experience designing motors or other rotary precision mechanisms a plus
- Experience designing magnetic circuits and/or using magnetic modeling programs a plus
