Regional Sales & Marketing Manager – Fire Safety Products
Our company is a three year-old organization that manufactures and markets next generation fire resistant (FR) garments and fire safety products into industrial and fire service industries. We are looking for a Senior Sales Executive with a proven background in the sale of similar types of products. Preferred areas of residence for the candidate selected for this position include: the Gulf Coast, East Coast, West Coast or Midwest regions.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate must have significant experience and proven success in the sale of FR clothing, like Nomex®, to high-risk industries. The candidate must be able to effectively target & penetrate customers desiring to switch from their current line of safety clothing/fire protection to the company’s next generation product line. Our products have been tested/certified to the required standards of the industry and vastly exceed the competition.
Specific job duties:
- Drive new accounts through working with distribution chain and select strategic high-value accounts.
- Maintain and enhance company’s reputation/position within industry.
- Provide market/competitive updates.
- Continuously update prospect and customer database, to be able to provide accurate funnel/forecasting model.
- Define specific strategies and tactics for targeted markets.
- Recommend creative and effective marketing and advertising strategies for the company.
- Provide accurate forecasting approach with a high probability of achievement. The company will need to build for inventory, so accurate forecasting is critical.
- Develop comprehensive competitive analysis.
- Assist with directing and coordinating company sales and marketing functions.
- Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
- Participate in the development of new project proposals.
- Assist in planning and development of company marketing and communications materials.
- May represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
- Help oversee the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
- Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Production Management or related concentration. Masters degree a plus.
- 5+ yrs experience in the same or similar position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and comparable software programs.
- Experience in a competitive, outside sales environment. Strategic Selling Experience Required. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Reliable. Ability to work well independently and within a team model. Ability to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, with up to 70% travel.
Position reports directly to the Vice President of Strategic Sales.
