Baylor Health Care System is a not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system with many care locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth community.
Long-Term Acute Care Nurse
Baylor Health Care System does far more than provide patients with access to exemplary medical care. Each of our physicians, nurses and other clinicians creates an entire system devoted to improving people’s lives.
Baylor’s nurses are empowered to make decisions that improve patient care. We are committed to a shared leadership model that encourages all staff nurses to be actively involved in setting the clinical policies and procedures for their unit.
If building relationships with your patients is what you treasure most, then you belong at Baylor Specialty Hospital (BSH). We treat medically complex patients whose average stay is 25 days. Patients at BSH tell us they feel like they’re family.
As part of Baylor Health Care System, BSH offers the intimacy of a smaller hospital with the resources of a large hospital system. Our nurses are part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team. Teamwork combined with management support provides a great work environment.
Long-term acute care (LTAC) nurses apply their special caring touch as they prescribe, delegate, coordinate and deliver patient care to ensure care meets our high standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations. They also supervise the care delivered by the patient care team, coordinate care plans, educate patients and their families and collaborate with other disciplines.
We have career opportunities available at Baylor Specialty Hospital for all levels of long-term acute care nurses on all shifts, including Two-Day Alternative, weekdays, nights and PRN.
