Major corporation has a six month contract available for a Reporting Analyst / Service / Vendor Management Specialist.
This position is responsible for managing and overseeing transition activities related to gathering and defining reporting requirements in a cross-functional environment and delivering a comprehensive, cross-functional reporting solution. This includes overseeing and driving discussions with clients and process owners, as well as “managing" an outsourced Reporting team. As such, the ideal candidate will have:
• 15+ years overall IT experience with at least 5 years leading and managing
technical teams/projects
• 10+ years experience as a reporting analyst with at least 1 year in a CMMI level 3+ organization
• 5+ years developer experience - preferably in PL SQL and/or Oracle, and Business Objects
• 5+ years IT reporting, IT metrics and analysis plus SLA Management experience.
• 3+ years managing outsourced vendor relationships preferred
• 2+ years Remedy ITSM 6.0+ experience (or equivalent) required
• Comprehensive knowledge of operational reporting and metrics, as well as the intricacies associated with Service Management as it pertains to the ties between reporting and the ITIL framework
• Solid, cross-functional IT knowledge (computer hardware and software, operating systems, databases, network, application servers and services, middleware and peripherals, telecommunications, etc.)
• Strong understanding of IT processes, methodologies, etc. (i.e. CMM, ITIL, TQM, Six Sigma); Six Sigma highly-desired
• Demonstrable experience with: Oracle, SQL, Business Objects, Remedy ITSM (or equivalent), ITIL framework (V2 certification highly-desired; V3 certification a plus), UAT test plan development / approval / oversight, Project management; vendor management; relationship management, Data / metrics / output alignment and analysis; Data Warehouse
• Experience analyzing SLAs and integrating SLOs into reporting solutions
• Experience developing and explaining metrics and statistics to business users
• Analytical and adaptable mindset, as well as enthusiastic and motivated spirit
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Ability to direct the work of others and manage the quality of deliverables

• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, and other project management tools
• Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills and ability to provide presentation materials to management
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities required
Candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the activities of an outsourced vendor charged with designing and delivering a near-real-time, cross functional reporting solution/portal in a multi-vendor, outsourced IS environment. This is a role that will have direct accountability for the Service Management Transition Deliverable related to Operational Reporting.
• Serving as the operational reporting SME for the IS Infrastructure Cross Functional Services organization
• Serving as the relationship manager to the outsourced project manager charged with delivering the reporting portal
• Serving as the contractual reporting SME, possessing in-depth knowledge of the following across all vendors: Reporting-related exhibits and appendices, SLA/SLO/OLA-related exhibits and appendices, Governance-related exhibits and appendices
• Overseeing, managing and escalating Service Management transition activities
around: Cross Functional reporting requirements gathering, Process integration, Standards integration, Metrics integration (SLO and KPI), Tools integration, Ad-hoc capabilities, Reporting strategy, Reporting delivery, Reporting data quality
• Actively participating in Governance, Transition and Operations meetings focused on SLA, RU and Cross Functional reporting
• Working internally to validate cross functional report needs, specifications and mock-ups for all cross-functional reports
• Ensuring desired layouts for cross-functional reporting portal, including multi-level service delivery/financial dashboards
• Insuring vendor Transition Plans provide for capability to document, extract and report key operational/contractual metrics
• Participating in weekly vendor status meetings and insuring Risks, Issues, Accomplishments, etc. are accurately reported
• Providing weekly summaries on reporting activities to senior Service Management / Cross Functional leadership team
• Identifying and helping to develop continuous improvement strategies for all service metrics and operational reports
• Obtaining approvals and signoffs for cross-functional Transition deliverables
