RF Electronics Technician
Performs complex technical tasks to assist engineers with RF and microwave electronic systems.
Under general supervision, may assist engineers with: fabricating and assembling electronics subassemblies for prototype models from schematics, rough sketches and verbal instructions.
May perform calibration checks on electronic instruments; may completely troubleshoot an electronics system to determine cause and remedy for malfunctioning.
May conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing; solving mechanical or electronics problems involved in the operation of the product; and otherwise assisting in general laboratory work. May also include other duties, as assigned.
2+ years experience testing and troubleshooting RF and/or microwave assemblies.
Experience with any of the following is very desirable: Up/Down converters, Multifunction assemblies, Detectors and Limiters, Amplifiers, Oscillators and Synthesizers, Switches, Attenuators and Phase Shifters
Ability to use practical electronic theory, basic machine tools and work from schematics and rough sketches.
