RF Engineering Manager
Description:
Lockheed Martin is seeking RF and Communication Systems engineers for an exciting opportunity to support the development of the Communications and Tracking subsystem for NASAs Crew Exploration Vehicle program. Applicants should be experienced with RF/Microwave components and/or communications systems, with an emphasis on space applications.
The Manager, Common Products, will provide technical leadership and personnel management skills towards developing Orion's human space flight Communications & Tracking (C&T) subsystem. The Common Products organization will have responsibility for several aspects of the C&T subsystem development, including: development and acquisition of hardware designs common to multiple Orion equipment groups; development of Special Test Equipment and ground support equipment required for hardware item development and test; management of C&T unique lab facilities; and coordination of subcontracted and piece part hardware procurements. Candidate will have personnel management responsibilities, including performance reviews, salary planning, career development and training.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in leading technical teams that have produced space flight components and subsystems, with emphasis on communications and/or RF/Microwave hardware. Superior planning skills, organizational, and delegation skills to ensure team objectives are met. Individual must have prior experience both in managing supplier subcontracts and internal design teams in the development and production of spaceflight hardware. Experienced in cost account management. Exemplary communication skills to mobilize the workforce as well as elevate appropriate issue to senior management. Must possess a flexible, collaborative work philosophy that is committed to achieving results.
