RF,
hardware, Mixed Signal circuits, ASIC Design
Description:
Design and develop electronic circuits, equipment, systems, and
products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Design, debug, and test Radio
Frequency (RF) and Mixed
Signal,
and/or Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC)
* Prepare or direct preparation of product layouts, detailed drawings and
schematics
* Plan and develop experimental test programs to verify compliance to all
applicable regulations and quality guidelines, in particular, FCC Part 15 and
ETSI EN302-208
* Analyze test data and reports to determine if the proposed design meets functional and
performance specifications
* Experience in the design and
development of high power, power amplifier (PA) circuits, including regulatory,
thermal performance and power efficiency.
* Work in close collaboration with other functional teams during the life cycle
of the product and be responsible for and require design modifications
* Evaluate engineering test results for possible application to developments of
other systems
* Use of software tools and test equipment to model, analyze, simulate and test
electronic designs
* Support production facilities in the manufacture of products
* Interface with the Test Engineers and factory personnel on the testing and
production of the products
* Perform cost/size/performance tradeoff analysis of different circuit options
* Complete documentation of the design
in the required formats
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
* 8+ years RF and analog design experience
* Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
education or experience. MSEE or PhD in EE or other area and industry experience
preferred.
* Relevant experience with RF
test equipment and simulation tools for electronics design, testing and documentation
* Understanding
of relevant block-level specifications, such as NF, IIP2, IIP3, phase noise,
and dynamic range.
* Experience
with industry-standard simulation and design tools, such as Spectre, Spectre
RF, Virtuoso, and Matlab.
* Semiconductor experience with RFICs or analog circuits a plus
* RFID or Radar experience a plus
