RN - Assessment and Referral Center Specialist (Intake) - RN/MSW
About the Job
The ARC Specialist has responsibility for assessment, referral and admission activities. The ARC Specialist ensures prompt response to patient and referral needs, provides clinical assessments, assures appropriateness of risk assessments, crisis interventions and referrals to level of care. The ARC Specialist promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital. 
Job Requirements:
The ARC Specialist must demonstrate knowledge and skills in provision of services to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.
Education: Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Human Services field or Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri.
Experience: Prefer 3 years of assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population in an inpatient setting. Psychiatric Certification/Experience preferred.
Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of hospital admissions functions, leadership skills, crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
