An Emergency Nurse (EN) is responsible to provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. The EN is responsible for assuring patient safety, confidentiality and comfort; as well as the proactive implementation of treatment in conjunction with guidelines and the provide plan of care. He/she collaborates with the physician and other member of the health care team to coordinate the delivery of patient care to patients of any age including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Graduate of a recognized college or university school of Registered Nursing,, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and specialty certificate preferred.
One year of med/surg experience or one year critical care preferred. New grads shall be considered on an individual basis and shall attend an emergency nursing education course within the first year of employment.
Possession of a valid license as a RN licensed in CA. ACLS, BLS, PALS.
